If a password is lost or incorrect use the Forgot Password? link on the login page to automatically reset the password.

 

 

A form will appear requesting the correct username and email address combination for the login account.  If the combination of information matches what is stored in the system then an automated email will be sent to the email address with a link to reset the password.  The link will expire in 24 hours so old reset requests cannot be accidentally used.  Once the link is clicked a new password is automatically generated and emailed to the user.  The automatically generated passwords are never stored in plain text and will conform to any password complexity rules established in the system settings.  So these passwords are safe to use permanently or users are welcome to change them.
