The Observer List screen is used to enter the list of people who perform Observations.

 

Observers may be grouped by another User-Defined Variable such as Department or Area.  Enable Observer grouping in the Application Settings screen.

 

By default, the Observers are sorted alphabetically by group (if enabled) then by name.  It is recommended that Observers are entered in the Last Name, First Name format (Doe, John) so you can sort Observers by their last name.

 

To add an Observer, simply click the New button, select the group (if enabled), enter the Observer's Name then click Save.

 

The Active column is used to determine if an Observer is able to perform Observations.  If the checkbox next to an Observer's name is unchecked, that Observer will not be available in the Observer drop box in the Observation Data window.

 

Use the Edit button to change an Observer's group, name or Active status.  Remember to click Save when you are done.

 

If the number of items displayed on any variable screen exceeds the number of Rows Per Page specified, Paging functionality will be enabled at the bottom of the screen.
